CLEVELAND, Ohio – February 10th, 2023 – Volunteers from Group Management Services’ (GMS) headquarters spent their morning giving back at MedWish International. They actively sorted and packed medical supplies that would otherwise end up in local landfills. GMS’ volunteer efforts allow MedWish to efficiently maintain its inventory to provide humanitarian aid to individuals in need.

MedWish International is a nonprofit organization that saves lives and the environment by repurposing surplus medical supplies and equipment to provide humanitarian aid to people in need. They bridge the gap between abundance and absence, surplus and scarcity. Their work improves access to quality health care while promoting environmental stewardship. They do this by partnering with health care facilities to divert usable medical surplus from landfills. MedWish aims to serve populations within medically marginalized communities, locally and internationally, supported by medical missions, clinics, hospitals, and nonprofits.
